&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The benchmark S&amp;P/ASX 200 index gained 22.2 points to 4,755.8, according to latest data, the highest close since March 9. The index edged lower on Monday, ending a six-day winning streak.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;New   Zealand's benchmark NZX 50 index ended 0.4 percent firmer at 3,421.2.&lt;/p&gt;
