ISLAMABAD: Director of the hydro power project said that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one hundred and twenty one megawatt Alai Khwar hydro generation power project in district Battagram would start electricity generation on experimental basis by the end of this month.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, Director of the hydro power project said that on completion it would produce 56 crore units of cheap electricity.
He said that reservoir of power project, 2.3 kilometre long tunnel, power house structure and switch board have already been completed and filling of reservoir has also been started for producing electricity on experimental basis.
He said that on completion it would produce 56 crore units of cheap electricity and help in saving millions of dollars being spent on purchasing of oil for production of thermal electricity.
