      <title>Hong Kong shares close 0.14% down </title>

The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 32.50 points to close at 22,825.40 on  turnover of HK$68.59 billion ($8.80 billion).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Chinese shares closed up 1.01 percent with property developers leading the  gains amid hopes for strong first quarter results, dealers said. The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up  29.34 points at 2,948.48 on turnover of 138.3 billion yuan ($21.0 billion).&lt;/p&gt;
