      <title>Draft bill finalized for imposing ban on plastic bags</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Talking to APP on Thursday an official of Environment Ministry said after the 18th amendment of the constitution ,the ministry is making efforts to enact this legislation through provincial governments.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The bill also envisages to introduce biodegradable bags for safety of human health.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Replying to a question , he said the ministry has taken a number of steps to improve the environmental condition in the country.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;He said standards related to air, water and noise have been approved by the Environmental Protection Council.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Seven air monitoring stations have been established in Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta to check pollution level, in addition three mobile monitoring stations are also working in Islamabad , Lahore and Karachi, he informed.&lt;/p&gt;
