      <title>1,272 lecturers to be recruited</title>

      <description>&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;KARACHI: The Sindh education Department has sent requisition of 1,272 lecturers of various subjects to the Sindh Public Service Commission to meet the shortage of teaching staff in the colleges.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;This was stated by the Secretary Education Sindh, Ms. Naheed Shah, at a meeting in her office on Wednesday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;She said that this would help in addressing the problems pertaining to the shortage of teachers in the colleges and also to enhance the academic standards.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Ms. Shah asked the principals of the colleges to ensure attendance of students.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;She pointed out that the government has taken steps for the improvement of education standard.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Ms. Shah further stated that measures have also been taken to resolve the outstanding problems of the teachers.&lt;/p&gt;
