KARACHI: Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra’s dream to sing in her upcoming movie “Barfi” is extirpated by ‘Universal Music’ and ‘Desi Hits’.
According to media sources, Chopra has signed her first recording agreement with Universal Music and Desi Hits. The recording companies don’t want Chopra to lend her voice to any other project till the release of her first international music album.
The music album is expected to be released in the end of this year so Chopra is not suppose to sing for Barfi, which is scheduled to be released in September.
Sources said that it was Pritam Chakraborty who lend with his idea to make Chopra sing for Barfi because movie songs comprises of Ranbir Kapoor voice, so he think he should have Chopra voice too.
Sources added, “"One song in Barfi! is still to be recorded. That's the one where Priyanka expresses her take on life and her feelings towards Ranbir. But Pritam's desire ended up becoming a distant dream."
Now, Chakraborty has disappointedly short-listed few singers so that the song will be sung by someone else.
