      <title>Solar water filtration plants being installed in 'Misali Basties': HDF</title>

      <description>&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;&lt;img style="margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; float: left;" alt=" " src="https://i.brecorder.com/images/stories/flood-victims.jpg" width="400" height="267" /&gt;ISLAMABAD: Human Development Foundation (HDF) is making all out efforts in the rehabilitation and construction of "Misali Basties" (Model Villages) of Samar Bagh in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Budapur in Sindh, for the flood victims.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;According to details the first model house has been constructed in the village of Samar Bagh of District Mardan in KPK. Moreover a solar water filtration plant has been installed to extract underground water through solar energy. This water filtration plant is benefitting 2,664 people of the said area.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;In order to improve the economic conditions of the flood victims of Samar Bagh, the Foundation has set up a block factory as a part of its Social Enterprise. The block factory has employed a large number of residents of the area.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;"Misali Basti" is being constructed by HDF in collaboration with Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descents of North America (APPNA).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Besides this, model houses have also been constructed in the second "Misali Basti" in the village of Budapur in District Jamshoro Sindh.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;A water filtration plant has also been installed for supply of clean drinking water to people of the area. The Capacity of this filtration plant is 1,000 gallons per hour (GPH).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The "Misali Basti" of Budapur is being constructed by HDF in collaboration with Metlife Alico MEASA.&lt;/p&gt;
