KARACHI: The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emonali Rahmon, arrived on Wednesday from Islamabad on a two-day visit to the metropolis.

As he alighted from the Somon Air's Boeing 737-800, the distinguished guest was warmly received by the Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Speaker of Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, provincial ministers Pir Mazhar ul Haq, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Rauf Siddiqui, and senior officials.

A child presented a bouquet to the Tajik President Emonali Rahmon.

From the airport the distinguished guest drove straight to the Mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam to pay homage to the Father of the Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
