      <title>Rouble official rate set at 28.17/dlr, 39.40/euro</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The central bank sets official exchange rates daily on the basis of weighted average rates on the MICEX exchange. The exchange will be closed from March 6 to March 8, when Russia holds international women's day celebrations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;On Friday, the central bank's official exchange rates were set at 28.1880 roubles per dollar and 39.3476 roubles per euro&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The rouble showed the best weekly gain against the dollar since late 2009 in the week to March 4, hitting its strongest level in 26-months of 29.11 after the central bank raised all key interest rates and widened the rouble's trading corridor, providing it with more room to gain.&lt;/p&gt;
