Met office forecasts more rain in Karachi over the weekend

The weather in Karachi cooled down and turned pleasant after the metropolitan received light showers on Friday morning, while more rain is expected over the weekend.

Light rain was reported early Friday morning from different areas of the port city including Karsaz, Tariq Road, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-eIqbal and Saddar. However, the rain brought with itself power breakdown in several areas of Karachi.  Karsaz, Kharadar, PECHS, Malir, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Site area were affected by the load shedding.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi will receive light rain on the weekend. The maximum temperature will fall between 32°C and 32°C.

Meanwhile, the Met office has also forecast rain-dust/thunderstorm with strong gusty winds at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in the weekend.
