PESHAWAR: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Tuesday recovered 16.630 kilogram of hashish from various egress and entry pints of provincial metropolis.
During search of a vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza, ANF recovered 1.15 kilogram of hashish from a passenger, Amir who was resident of district Khyber Agency.
Similar hashish weighing 3.4 kilogram was recovered from a Lahore bound bus near Motorway Toll Plaza. Smuggler was also arrested on the spot.
ANF recovered 7.2 kilogram of hashish from a passenger on Kohat Road. 780 kilogram hashish was also seized from a motorcycle rider in the city while 42 kilogram opium and 1.10 kilogram hashish was recovered from a passenger who was travelling on a bus.
The smuggler who was identified as Syed Usman Hussain was also arrested on the spot.
ANF recovered 948 grams of Ice drug from a passenger on Baacha Khan International Airport who was trying to board Jeddah bound flight of Air Blue. Cases have been registered against the arrested smugglers under Control of Narcotics Substance Act and investigations are underway.
