KP Govt to overcome loadshedding through new projects

PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is keen to mitigate power loadshedding issue by setting up more hydel power projects in the province, said an official release issued here Wednesday.

It said that the Koto Hydro project Dir Lower will supply 40.8 MW of power and will generate 205 GWH of energy annually.

It would assist in meeting power demand of the country besides reducing loadshedding in the province. The project is expected to generate Rs 1970 million revenue annually at full operation.
