      <title>Palm oil imports fall in January</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;ISLAMABAD: The Palm oil imports into the country during January 2011 decreased by 12.60 percent as compared to the imports of December 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;However, as compared to the imports of the January last year, the palm oil imports increased by 64.13 percent during the month under review, Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) reported.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The palm oil imports into the country were recorded at US$ 165.282 million in January 2011 against the imports of US$189.109 million in December 2010 and US$100.703 million in January 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The overall imports of the palm oil during the first seven months of the current fiscal year increased by 61,12 percent, according to FBS data.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Imports into the country during the period were recorded at US$1.093 billion against the imports of US$ 678.548 million during the corresponding period of last year.&lt;/p&gt;
