PML-N orchestrates malicious campaign against NAB chairman to escape accountability: Omar Cheema

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Omar Sarfaraz Cheema Saturday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was hatching conspiracy against the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Chairman to escape accountability process.

In a statement issued here by the PTI’s central media department, he said maligning and intimidating the state’s institutions was the modus operandi of PML-N to pressurise them.

NAB was an independent body and the government had no role in its operations, he added.

“PML-N is orchestrating a malicious campaign against the NAB chairman in a bid to extricate itself from the ongoing accountability,” he remarked.
