KARACHI: Chairman, Businessmen Panel (BMP), FPCCI, Mian Anjum Nisar has suggested commissioning of polling process at Federation's offices in Islamabad and Lahore too, along with its head office in Karachi during elections scheduled to be held December this year.
In his recent communication to the Directorate General of Trade Organization, the senior leader of business community submitted that simultaneous polling at the three FPCCI centres would facilitate its members in general.
Suggesting that FPCCI Secretary General's office be notified accordingly, Anjum Nisar said the practice to conduct FPCCI polls at its head office only is a cause of extreme inconvenience for its members in general.
It also tend to be extremely hectic for the Federation's Executive Committee and General Body members, comprising supporters of the contesting groups, he said.
BMP Chairman was of the opinion that to streamline the process and facilitate the voters three distinct centres be approved for FPCCI polls 2020.
He said it was through BMP efforts that executive committee has unanimously decided to have a neutral election commission for forthcoming FPCCI polls.
