MIRPUR (AJK): Top Kashmir leadership in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) on Monday strongly condemned the rape of a minor girl in Sumbal, Bandipora, terming it a shocking, unfortunate, gruesome and inhuman act.
Senior Hurriyat leaders, in a statement issued in occupied Srinagar, said the incident was a stain on the social, spiritual fabric and rich culture of Kashmir, which needed thorough investigations to give exemplary punishment to the culprit.
The Kashmir freedom leaders, including Syed Ali Gillani, Mir Waiz Omar Farooq and others stated that the incident had shaken the conscience of every Kashmiri.
The leaders said, “The affected kid belongs to all of us and we all share the pain and agony of her family and stand firmly behind them.
We all want the culprit to be brought to justice and justice for her and affected family."
