NAB arrest accused in town committee fraud

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi team arrested accused Muhammad Yaseen Palijo s/o Abdullah Palijo from Islamabad Monday.

Accused Muhammad Yaseen Palijo an  engineer in Town Committee Sujawal is accused of  preparing bogus register and bogus measurements  books (MBs) of town committee projects.

The investigation revealed that officers/officials of Town Committee in connivance with dummy contractors embezzled about Rs. 100 million. They withdrew money mostly in cash from the bank account of town committee Sujawal without getting any work done on the ground.

This reference filed in the Honorable Accountability Court Hyderabad in May 2016.

Accused would be produced before Accountability Court after legal formalities.
