MIRPUR (AJK): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan Friday congratulated the newly elected office bearers of Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE).
In his message of feliciation to the newly-elected CPNE President Arif Nizami, Vice President Rehmat Ali Razi, General Secretary Dr. Jabbar Khattak the Prime Minister expressed hope that the newly elected body would discharge its duties for the betterment of journalists of Pakistan. He said newly elected members would continue their struggle for freedom of expression, guaranteed by the constitution and would raise their voice for the rights of the people.
The AJK Prime Minister also felicitated the newly inducted office bearers of PML-N including senior vice president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, vice president Maryam Nawaz, vice president Hamza Shahbaz, general secretary Ahsan Iqbal, secretary information Maryam Aurangzeb, and Presidents of Punjab and Karachi units of the party.
Farooq Haider, also President of AJK’s ruling PML (N) AJK chapter, expressed the hope that the newly elected representatives would continue their struggle for safeguarding the rights of the people and strengthening of democracy in the country.
Farooq Haider also congratulated newly-inducted parliamentary leader of the PML (N) in the national assembly Khawaja Muhammad Asif and newly appointed chairman Public Accounts Committee Rana Tanvirul Hassan, hailing from his party in the parliament.
