NAB raids food godowns in Larkana: Rs575mn loss unearthed

LARKANA: On the directions of competent authority, NAB Sukkur team conducted raid on various godowns of food department Larkana in the presence of Judicial Magistrate Khalid Ahmed soomro, PPI learnt Tuesday.

Rahmatpur Godown Larkana was raided in presence of Judicial Magistrate and it was found that as per record there must be 42188 wheat bags, but after counting, it was notice that there were only 27350 wheat bags and there is loss of Rs 25 million approximately on Rahmatpur Godown, Larkana, PPI learnt from NAB sources.

Further, raid was also conducted on Badah Godown Larkana . As per record PP bags of wheat must be 235000 and jute bags of wheat must be 35000.

However, on ground there were around 40000 PP bags of wheat and 5000 jute bags of wheat. The loss is approximately Rs 55 crore on Badah Godown. Counting on other godowns will be conducted later on.
