Smooth water supply to Karachiites in Ramazan ordered

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Labour and Human Resources Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has asked MD Water Board Karachi to ensure smooth and regular supply of drinking water to the people of Karachi, especially in Holy Month of Ramazan that is approaching.

This he said while talking to MD Water Board Karachi Asad Ullah Khan in his office. On this occasion, Karachi Water Board engineers and officers were also present.  Baloch apprised MD Water Board regarding shortage of water in his constituency PS 88 in areas of Bhittaiabad, Moria Goth, Madina Colony and other adjacent areas.

Khan assured Baloch that he would resolve the matter on priority basis and would ensure the smooth supply of drinking water to those areas. Baloch said, "Being a public representative, it is our prime duty to resolve the problems of the masses at their door steps."

While in an another meeting with a group of journalists, working in the field of child labour, Baloch assured them that his department would feel pleasure working with them on the issue and expressed his hope that media would also highlight the issues and would sensitize the labour class and industrialists on labour laws.

He said that Sindh government was trying hard to implement labour laws in letter and spirit so that the laboures might get maximum benefits of them. On this occasion, Muzamil Ferozi and Mansoor Mani were also present.
