Participation of civil society must for narcotics control

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Labour Ghulam Murtaza Baloch Saturday said that increased trend among young people to use drugs is a matter of concern.
He said it is our collective duty to save new generation from the menace narcotics and to motivate them towards healthy activities.
This he said while addressing as chief guest here at an event "how to save new generation from drugs", organized by Nai Zindagi Trust, an NGO.
The minister said that without participation of civil society members especially teachers, parents and other stakeholders, we can not make the society free from drugs.
He said it was really a big task but if we worked together we could achieve this task.
Administrator Nai Zindagi Dr. Ayaz Soomoro briefed Sindh Minister about working and performance of the Trust.
He said the trend of narcotics use in our society is rising and we should save our children from it.
Director, Anti-Narcotics Force Abid Ali, UC Chairman A.D. Soomoro, Vice Chairman Amanat Zia and others were also present on this occasion.
