Christian community to observe Good Friday on April 19

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs (HR&MA) Ijaz Alam Augustine Thursday said that like in other parts of the world, the Christian community living in Pakistan would observe Good Friday on April 19, two days before Easter.

While attending a special service here at a local church, he requested the Christian community to pray for prosperity of the country.

He said, "On Good Friday, various members of Christian community spend this day in fasting, and offering prayers."

He said the minorities were playing crucial role in development of the country and were ready to sacrifice their lives for the country, he added.
