ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri Thursday congratulated the newly elected office bearers of Parliamentary Reporters Association (PRA).
In their separate congratulatory messages to the newly elected President of PRA Bahzad Saleemi, Vice President, Sohail Khan, Secretary General, M B Somroo, Joint Secretary Saima Malik, Finance Secretary Intazar Haidri, Secretary Information Ali Sher and Members of Governing Body, Nousheen Yousaf, Asim Yasin, Zahid Yaqoob Khawaja, Zeshan Shamsi, Atif Shirazi, Javed Ur Rehman, Nadir Gurmani, Rana Ahmed Talat, Rizwan Ahmed Dhiloon, they extended their warmest felicitation on their success.
They said their election was an evidence of trust and confidence of journalist fraternity reposed in them.
They hoped that they will work for welfare of journalist community and freedom of press.
They said freedom of expression was essential for strengthening democracy in the country.
They expressed the hope that under the new leadership the problems of reporters of press gallery would be resolved and assured their all out cooperation in this regard. He prayed for their success during their tenure.
