KARACHI: Karachi police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 10 suspected criminals from different areas of the metropolis.
New Karachi police busted six members gang of robbers and arrested four of its members wanted to police in several robberies cases.
According to police sources, on a tip-off, a police party arrested carried out a targeted raid in New Karachi Industrial Area and apprehended four members of robber gang involved in several robberies in different parts of the city. The accused were identified as Shahzaib alias Shano, Abdul Hadi, Junaid and Abdul Rehman alias Haris.
Police said during the preliminary investigations, the accused also confessed their involvement in several different robberies. Police said their two accomplices had arrested by Taimuria police. Police also recovered four TT-pistols, cash, six cell phones, and three snatched motorcycles from their possession.
According to SSP Korangi Ali Raza, police arrested three dacoits from Korangi industrial area involved in 101 robberies cases. The police official said the gang consist 15 members and were committed crimes in Karachi Multan and Bahawalpur.
SSP Malir said a police party apprehended a drug peddler, Jameel from city’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-IV area over alleged involvement in selling ice heroin in educational institutes.Police have also recovered more than one kilogram drugs from his possession.
Docks police on a tip-off, conducted a raid in Machhar Colony and detained two drug peddlers and recovered about three kilograms of hashish from their Possession.
