Sajjad Shinwari won All Khyber Agency Spring Table Tennis Tournament by beating Roohullah Shinwari in the final held at Martial Art Hall, Landi Kotal Bazaar in the tribal Khyber Agency. The day-long extra-curriculum activity was organized under the banner of Khyber Agency Table Tennis Association with support of Directorate of Sports, FATA and 15 best players from across the agency participated in the game. Agency Sport Manager, Rahid Gul Mulagori inaugurated the tournament.
In single combats Sajjad Shinwari defeated Roohullah by 2:1 sets to win first position. Hayat Nazir secured bronze medal in the competitions. Hayat Nazir and Roohullah Shinwari remained victorious in double contests while Sajjad Shinwari and Nasib Shah won silver medal. Chairman Torkham Transport Association, Haji Alam Sher was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away trophies and medals to the winning teams and shining players.
Speaking on the occasion Khyber Agency Table Tennis Association General Sectary and FATA Table Tennis team manager Haji Naseeb Shah said that the aim of organizing the tournament was to motivate the tribal youth to healthy activity and asked the authorities concerned to facilitate the tribal players by establishing a well-furnished gymnasium in the area.
