The eleventh death anniversary of D.I.G Malik Mohammad Saad Shaheed was observed with respect and solemnity in Kohat on Saturday. On this occasion, Besides, Regional Police Officer (RPO), Kohat Awal Khan, SP Operations Jameel Akhtar and other police officers, the office bearers of Malik Mohammad Saad Shaheed Trust and family members visited his grave and laid flower wreath on it.
Similarly, a contingent of police also presented guard of honour on the grave of the Shaheed DIG and offered fateha for the eternal peace of the deceased. Malik Mohammad Saad Shaheed, then Chief City Police Officer (CCPO), Peshawar was martyred in a suicide attack on a mourning procession of the 7th Muharram-ul-Harram on January 27, 2007 at Dhakki Dalgaran locality of the Kissa Khawani Bazaar, Peshawar city.
On this occasion, RPO Kohat, Awal Khan, SP Operations Kohat, Jameel Akhtar and members of Malik Saad Shaheed Trust paid rich tributes to the late brave and patriotic police officers. Meanwhile, in a message on the occasion of the death anniversary of Malik Saad Shaheed, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Salahuddin Khan Mehsud has also paid tributes to the late brave police officer, who served the soil and culture and civilization of the nation and country with devotion and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty will not be forgotten.
He said that police officers at the time of joining the police force are taking oath of protecting the life and property of the people and fulfilling their commitment and sacrifices rendered by force while battling terrorists. The IGP said that Malik Saad Shaheed was a professional police officer and wherever posted performed his duty professionally, honestly and courageously and the people of the respective areas are saluting the valour and dignity and that is reason that he is alive in the hearts of the people even today. The sacrifice rendered by DIG Malik Saad Shaheed is the beacon of light for KP Police, the message concluded.
