Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq Saturday said that furniture producing companies of Germany, Italy and Spain have shown keen interest in Pakistani furniture market and desired to initiate joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts. He said this while talking to media here today on his return from different European countries including Germany, Portugal, Austria, Spain and Italy, after 12-day long extensive visit aimed at exploring new markets and strengthening existing bilateral trade relations with their counterparts in furniture industry.
Mian Ashfaq said this business tour provided them ample chances to explore new avenues by sharing vision, expertise for formulation of future policies, economic studies, sectoral and project specific reports besides promotional efforts. He was of the view that economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Europe possess great potential and there was dire need for Pakistani business community to focus on improving their competitiveness in the European market.
