On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, provincial minister for primary and secondary health Khawaja Imran Nazir along with secretary Ali Jan Khan visited Gujrat to probe into the sad incident of gang rape with two lady health workers by the dacoits at a basic health unit.
During preliminary inquiry, it was revealed that the incident took place between 29th and 30th December mid night but the officers of health department of Gujrat did not inform the authorities and after lapse of two weeks, the officers intimated the department about the incident of robbery.
The minister took serious notice of hiding facts and informing the department about the incident very late and directed to suspend the Chief Executive Officer Health Gujrat Dr Altaf Husain, DOH Dr Muhammad Ali Mufti and Deputy District Officer Health Gujrat Dr Yousaf Dar immediately.
