BAHAWALPUR: State Bank of Pakistan, Banking Services Corporation (BSC) organized Islamic Banking Awareness Program at main auditorium collaboration with the Department of Management Sciences, the Islamia University Bahawalpur of and Bankers Club association.
Mufti Muhammad Imran, member of Shariah Board of National Bank of Pakistan delivered a lecture on basic concepts of Islamic banking and about its Risk Management.
Dr. Jawad Iqbal Chairman Department of Management Sciences chaired this event. Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan BSC Waheed Akhtar shared his views while explaining the role of State Bank and Islamic Banking.
Malik Muhammad Ejaz Nazim, President Chamber of commerce and Industry graced the event with his other senior colleagues from Chamber also joined the event.
On this occasion various banks staged their stalls in which different products were placed for awareness and displayed information for students and professionals.
Almost five hundred students from different faculties got benefit from this program, mainly from Management sciences department.
At the end of event, shield distribution ceremony was held and main organizer, chief guest and speaker got souvenirs for their contribution in the event.
