ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha Monday underlined the need of making collective efforts to maintain rule of law in the country.

Talking to a private news channel, he said law should take its course against violators and exemplary punishment should be awarded to criminals.

Political parties should avoid point scoring on cases like Kasur incident, as unfortunately child abuse cases were happening in other provinces as well, he said, adding comprehensive measures were needed to be taken to stop such incidents in future.

To a question, Mohsin Ranjha said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was disqualified on having a iqama while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan had admitted concealing his off-shore company.

He said setting aside internal political differences, all political parties proudly defended Pakistan on all international forums.
