Free treatment to be provided to poor patients at PKLI: CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that setting up of the Pakistan and Kideny Liver Institute (PKLI) is a historic initiative of the Punjab government and free treatment to poor patients will be provided at the hospital.
Presiding over a meeting which discussed progress on the second phase of the PKLI here on Saturday, he said services of top companies of the world would be obtained for performance audit of the hospital.
The CM said an ideal system of infection control would be introduced for the PKLI and the construction of a nursing school and allied health project would be started soon.
Provincial Minister for Specialised Healthcare Khawaja Salman Rafique, PKLI president Dr Saeed Akhtar, Dr Masooma Zahid, VC University of Health Sciences Dr Faisal Masood, secretaries of concerning departments, DG PHA and officials concerned attended the meeting.
