SBP report claims Zainab’s suspected killer has no bank accounts

A report was submitted to Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) on Friday by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), in which it was revealed that Imran Ali, the key suspect in Zainab’s murder case, has no foreign currency bank accounts.
According to local media reports, sources in the FIA said that the agency itself has not found any bank accounts of Imran.
Anchorperson Shahid Masood, in his talk show on Wednesday night, alleged that Zainab’s suspected killer was a member of a pornography gang that also includes a Punjab minister. He further claimed that Imran has 37 foreign currency bank accounts and that a federal minister and a politician were supporting him.

On Friday, Masood did not appear before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif. He was summoned to provide details about the claims he made regarding the suspect. Following his claims, CM Punjab had tasked JIT to probe his bank accounts.
Despite written notice, Dr. Shahid Masood didn't appear before the JIT formed by Punjab govt to share the proof of information he claimed about bank accounts allegedly held by the accused in Zainab case. His contact numbers are switched OFF and we couldn't connect .

The minor girl was raped and murdered after being abducted on January 4. Her body was found at a garbage dump site, five days after she went missing.
