IHC adjourns case against Asif till Jan 23

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday adjourned hearing of a case till January 23, seeking disqualification of Foreign Minister Khwaja Asif on alleged misdeclaration of his assets before Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in nomination papers.
A three member larger bench of IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurengzaib heard the case filed by his opponent candidate Usman Dar against Khwaja Asif.
During the course of proceeding, the counsel for the petitioner Sikandar Bashir Mohmand alleged that Khwaja Asif had not declared assets of his wife and children in the nomination papers.
He said that Asif had also not declared his earning from business in abroad and salary received through UAE iqama.
