Mastung martyrs laid to rest in Quetta

At least twenty six People who were killed yesterday in a tragic target killing incident in Mastung, have been laid to rest in the provincial capital amid tears and sobs of grief on Wednesday. No security personnel were deployed at any Imambargha or cemetery in the city.
Balochistan cities, especially Quetta were on Wednesday drenched in grief and mourning over killings with business centres closed and women on roads protesting against the gory incident. The protesters including Hazara Community members raised slogans against the government, demanding Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani to resign from his office forthwith, as according to them, he was responsible for the incident.
Lady protesters demanded United Nations to take urgent notice of the incident, as the government did nothing substantial in this connection. No government high-ups turned up at funerals of the Mastung mishap victims. Bodies were taken to 26 imambargha of the city leading various areas to wear deserted look in mourning.
The ill-fated passenger bus was carrying pilgrims to Iran's border area of Taftan, when it was attacked from two sides by gunmen; resultantly, over two dozen men died on the spot and several others were injured. Meantime, the vehicle carrying the bodies of those killed in Lak Pass slaughter incident was attacked and more three men were killed in the incident, raising the overall death tally to 29 in a single day.
