KABULL: A suicide bomber killed and wounded around 40 people in an attack on a government building in northern Afghanistan on Monday, a district official said.
Mohammad Ayoub Haqyar, a government official in the Emam Saheb district of Kunduz province, said the suicide bomber struck as people lined up to collect identification cards.
Kunduz has become increasingly violent as Afghanistan's growing Taliban-led insurgency spreads out of strongholds in the south and east.
