      <title>FIFA to support indigenous industry, business to develop public-private partnership</title>

      <description>&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;img style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-right: 10px; float: left;" src="https://i.brecorder.com/images/stories/pakistan.3.gif" width="400" height="256" /&gt;KARACHI: The civil secretariat Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) issued a notification stating that the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who is the executive of the tribal areas, will lead the authority as its chairman, while senior officials of different government agencies and representatives of the business community will be its members.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The FIFA (Federal Investment Facilitation Authority) will be responsible to monitor and regulate investment-related activities and enterprise development.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;FIFA will support to promote indigenous industry and businesses to develop public-private partnerships, to formulate policies and mechanism for setting up industrial estates and zones to hold exhibitions, seminars and job fairs to promote investment in FATA region&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The notification declares that FIFA will interact with banks and facilitate them to extend their coverage and introduce micro credit schemes for SMEs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Development has been neglected in the tribal belt while it is a buffer zone between Pakistan and Afghanistan.&lt;/p&gt;
