imageLAHORE: Thick fog enveloped various areas of Punjab on Wednesday morning as the weather turned frosty disrupting the routine life of citizens.

According to local media reports, the flow of traffic was disrupted due to fog as motorway was closed for traffic from Sheikhupura to Pindi Bhattian. National Highway also underwent an interruption in the traffic system.

The Motorway Police has advised the general public to avoid unnecessary travelling due to very low visibility in dense fog areas. Drivers have been advised to use fog lights to avoid any mishap or accidents.

Cold and dry weather is expected in remaining parts of the country.

Foggy conditions are expected in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

More rain with snowfall over the hills is likely at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Mardan divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during next twelve hours.
