BUCHAREST: Romania's state-owned gas pipeline operator Transgaz posted a 23.2 percent rise in its 2010 net profit, a touch above market expectations.

The company reported a net profit of 368 million lei ($117 million), versus an average forecast of 362.9 million lei in a Reuters poll earlier this week. It compares with net profit of 298.6 million lei in 2009.
