      <title>European stocks close mixed</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;In Paris, the CAC 40 was also down slightly, by 0.11 percent to 4,096.62 points in a quiet session, while in Frankfurt the DAX gained 0.34 percent to end the day at 7,396.63 points.&lt;/p&gt;
