      <title>Lawyers end weekly strike</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;LAHORE: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) announced an end to a weekly strike of lawyers on the judicial policy here on Sunday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Briefing the media on the Lahore High Court premises after a joint meeting of lawyer representatives of the SCBA and the PBC, a spokesman said it was demanded that importance in the judicial policy should be given to recommendations of district bar associations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;He said that it was decided that the strike could again be started if rights of lawyers were ignored in the judicial policy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Representatives of the SCBA and the PBC directed all bar associations that licences should be carefully issued to judges who were sacked from the judiciary on charges of corruption.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Ahsan Bhawan, Yaseen Azad and Azam Nazir Tarar from the PBC and Zubair Khalid, voice president SCBA, including all provincial presidents of the SCBA attended the meeting.&lt;/p&gt;
