      <title>MCB 2010 net profit at 16.87bn rupees</title>

&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;KARACHI: MCB reported on Thursday a net profit of 16.87 billion rupees ($198 million) for the year ended on Dec. 31, compared with 15.49 billion rupees earned last year.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;MCB, in which Malaysia's Maybank holds a 20 percent stake, also announced a cash dividend of 3 rupees per share.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;MCB shares were trading 1.75 percent lower at 218.69 rupees by 1:22 p.m. (0822 GMT), in a broader market that was down 0.28 percent.&lt;/p&gt;
