      <title>14,700 displaced due to Mohmand operation</title>

      <description>&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;&lt;img height="535" width="400" src="https://i.brecorder.com/images/stories/idps_return_270_400.jpg" style="margin-bottom: 10px; float: left; margin-right: 10px;" /&gt;PESHAWAR: The ongoing military operation against militants near Afghan border in Mohmand Agency forced has 14,700 people to flee homes for safe places, an official of Mohmand adminstration told APP.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;"As of today, 14,700 people have fled the area while many others are leaving the homes as the forces have inentisifed the operation, which is underway since January 27, against the Taliban," the official said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The operation is continuimg in Saafi, Khwezai, Pindyali and Ambar Tehsils of the agency. The administration has setup two camps for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Danish School and Nahqi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The IDPs are being properly looked after by the adminstration and the UNHCR.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;The official said that 60 to 70 militants had been killed in the week long operation. The security forces are being supported by aerial and artillery bombardment.&lt;/p&gt;
