ISLAMABAD: The Acting President, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari and Acting Chairman Senate, Sabir Ali Baloch expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Former Senator and seasoned journalist, Fasih Iqbal.
In their separate condolence messages, the Acting President and Acting Chairman Senate eulogized the services rendered by late Fasih Iqbal and said that his services for democracy and freedom of media will be long remembered.
They offered their heartfelt condolences to the family of late Fasih Iqbal and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
The Leader of the House in the Senate, Raja Zafar-ul Haq and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Aitzaz Ahsan have also condoled the death of former Senator and lauded his political and social contributions.
Secretary Senate Amjed Pervez Malik, in his condolence message sympathized with late Faih Iqbal's Family and described him a living legend who championed a number of causes for the people of his province and country.
"During his tenure as Senator , he pioneered a number of parliamentary services and took several initiatives leaving behind fond memories" the Secretary Senate Specially mentioned.
He further stated that contributions of late Fasih Iqbal in the field of media are well known. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the near and dear ones.
