MULTAN: Peshawar bound Kushal Khattak Express train derailed as result of a blast on rail track near Umer Kot, Rajanpur on Friday morning, which caused death of three persons, besides causing injuries to over two dozens passengers.
GM Railways, Anjum Pervez while talking to media said the blast occurred when the train was between railway stations Kot Mithan and Kot Behram, Multan division.
The mishap has caused casualties and injuries and relief teams had reached to shift the injured to nearby hospital.
"Efforts underway to restore rail traffic but it would take some time", he said.
