Speculations are over about who is going to host the next season of ‘Bigg Boss’. Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan has reportedly signed on the dotted line to host the seventh season of the most popular reality show on Indian television.
Earlier, there were reports that arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan may replace the ‘Dabangg’ star as host for the new season.
According to the Indian media reports, producers of the show rubbished rumors that they had approached SRK with the option to host for the seventh season. They have since cleared the air and confirmed that it will indeed be Tiger Khan, who will be reprising the highly-coveted role.
Sources also say Salman has apparently been given a considerable fee rise. While the actor was said to be apparently earning R 2.5 crores per episode in the previous season, he is now alleged to be receiving a whopping amount of R 3 crores per episode.
The Sylvester Stallone of Bollywood will take time out from his shooting-schedule of ‘Kick’ in London, to come back and shoot for the promo sometime in mid July. The show is slated to go on air in September later this year.
Salman has successfully hosted Bigg Boss from the 4th season onwards and his presence raised the TRP (Target Rating Point) of the show across all seasons. Other Bollywood stars to have hosted the show include Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan and Arshad Warsi.
