ISLMABAD: PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the nomination of Dr Abdul Malik for the chief minister's slot of Balochistan would greatly help to restore peace in the violence-hit province.
He said that the Aghaz-e-Huqooq-e-Balochistan Package launched by the previous regime had also helped resolve the issue.
"We will take along all the parties with a commitment of national integrity and national cohesion," he said while talking to reporters here at the parliament house.
He added that the formation of a coalition government of Baloch nationalists and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) was a wise initiative which would help restore confidence in the system.
He said that the media and civil society had created awareness amongst the masses and a proactive media would help resolution of the issues like load-shedding, terrorism and other issues.
He said that the strengthening of the democratic process in the country would help resolve the issues being faced by the people at large.
He added that the young legislator said that the new prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif would announce a roadmap for the resolution of the public issues.
Welcoming the completion of a constitutional five-year term of the previous government, Hamza Shahbaz said that the new government was taking over the reigns from an elected government which was a good omen.
He said that cementing of democratic process would help resolve the problems being faced by the people at the grassroots level.
