ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif called on Chinese Premier Li Keqiang here Thursday and discussed ways to strengthen Sino-Pak relations in multiple fields.
The Chinese Premier who is on a two-day official visit to Islamabad as part of his four-nation trip, congratulated Mian Nawaz Sharif on his party's victory in the general elections.
He also expressed good wishes for the new government and for the people of Pakistan.
The PML(N) chief thanked the Chinese Premier for his felicitations and expressed hoped that the two countries would continue working for the mutual benefit of their peoples.
The meeting was attended by former Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and senater Ishaq Dar.
Secretary Foreign Affairs Jalil Abbas Jilani was also present.
