The Supreme Court (SC) granted on Tuesday bail to Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique in the Paragon Housing Society scam.

The brothers have been asked to submit Rs3 million surety bonds each. The PML-N leaders were arrested in December 11, 2018 by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The Rafique brothers have already been indicted by an accountability court last year in September.

NAB has accused the Rafique brothers of launching an illegal housing scheme Paragon City (Pvt) Ltd in 2005 on the basis of forged and fabricated documents with chief executive of Paragon City Nadeem Zia and others.

The accountability watchdog has also said that both Saad and Salman received money from the housing society. NAB revealed that both brothers had admitted that they took millions of rupees as commission.
