A group of scientists have come up with considerable evidence against the latest wireless technology 5G and warned that the upcoming cellular technology is in fact harmful.

Scientists have warned that 5G will increase exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on top of the 2G, 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi. RF-EMF is a risk to the human being as these fields have been proven to be harmful both for the humans and the environment.

The effect of EMF includes increased cancer risk, cellular stress, harmful free radicals, genetic damages and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. It is dangerous to both plant and animal life.

Based on the research published since 2011, and the concern by EMF scientists, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer has recently prioritized RFR to be reviewed again in the next five years.

According to their study, 5G will employ millimeter waves for the first time in addition to microwaves. These waves are mostly absorbed within a few millimeters of human skin and in the surface layers of the cornea, Scientific American reported. Also, short-term exposure of these waves can have adverse physiological effects in the peripheral nervous system, the immune system and the cardiovascular system.

While long-term exposure may pose health risks to the skin, the eyes and the testes that is sterility.

The new technology will not replace 4G but will accompany it. If the simultaneous exposures to multiple types of radio frequency radiation cause synergistic effects, then the risks will increase. Apart from cancer, RFR causes neurological disorders and reproductive harm, likely due to oxidative stress.
