Emotions, rules dominate World Cup finale but cricket wins
The finale of the ICC World Cup 2019 was unlike any other in cricket World Cup history, after the game went on to the wire but England managed to come out on top, beating New Zealand by zero runs to clinch their maiden World Cup title on Sunday.
The nerve-racking final was the talk of the town, as it brought delight for one and agony for the others and a whole lot of drama for everyone.

Rules under the radar
Final World Cup tweet.
Please remember that Strauss had a huge influence over this teams win yesterday. Him and Eoin paved the way to play this aggressive brand and also back the players in failure.
They talked the talk & walked the walk!
Glory be to cricket in the UK! 🏴🏆

Could it be decided by the no of wickets lost? Would that reduce flair and risk-taking? Could it be decided by no of runs minus extras? Does that paper over some deficiencies? Should a cricket match have joint winners if a super over is tied?

Cricketers under the thriller’s frenzy
Videos of emotion from #CWC19Final, we all must have them?! @ashwinravi99 captured the @TrentBridge changing room when, at the most crucial point of the match, a 1 in a million deflection went for ‘6’. Breathtaking, never seen anything like it. I ♥️ Cricket @englandcricket pic.twitter.com/dYBetXKzyX

What a game of cricket yesterday. Congrats to both teams for putting on a terrific show - full of skill, drama and courage. Feel for NZ as they were outstanding. Well done England. I just wish there was another super over or as many super overs as required to have a clear winner

I reckon in terms of ebbing and flowing and toiling with emotions in a game of cricket, yesterday’s final had it all. A Combination of the 99 semi and the 438 game but because it was the @cricketworldcup final ,it has to take the 🎂!
